12' + Adirondack Guideboat

The Adirondack guideboat is a marvelous blend of beauty and utility. Very fast under oars, ability to carry 2-3 with gear and yet light enough to portage. I build mine in true lapstrake rather than the flush lapstrake of the originals. The advantage is a savings of over 100 hours labor and cost and the only disadvantage is a slightly noisier boat in the water. Standard equipment includes spruce oars, oarlocks and portage yoke.
